Therapeutic Massage can be used to promote a general well being. It boosts the immune system, circulation, aids in muscle tone, digestion, and skin tone. It is greatly effective for stress related conditions such as insomnia and tension headaches. It works well for pain relief as it lowers the amount of stress hormones such as cortisol and norepinephrine which can weaken the immune system.

Janice has been trained in a variety of modalities including:

• Swedish Massage - Swedish massage is used for pain management, to improve circulation and to help individuals recover from injury. It is also useful in relieving anxiety and depression.
• Deep-Tissue Massage - Deep-tissue massage is used to prevent pain and injury by realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially beneficial for athletes and those with chronic muscle tension.
• Pregnancy Massage - Pregnancy massage is used to reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains, and reduce anxiety and depression. The massage is customized to a woman's individual needs.
• Foot Reflexology - Foot reflexology is used to help improve the blood and lymph circulation in the body. It is highly relaxing and is conducive to a feeling of rejuvenation and health.
• CranioSacral Therapy - CranioSacral therapy is used to make sure the cerebrospinal fluid is free to flow and balanced throughout the body, from the cranium to sacrum and extremities.
• Pre-event foot Reflexology/massage - Take "de-agony" out of "de-feet" with a 10 -20 minute foot session! Standing for hours will feel better than ever! ($1.00 per minute; 60-min total minimum; Travel fee may apply)

A combination of, or any one of the above techniques can be used to accomodate the individual's needs. The massage modalities include the use of hot stones.
